Stirlingo variklis statusas T sritis Energetika apibrėžtis Išorės degimo variklis, mechaniniu darbu verčiantis šiluminę energiją, ją tiekiantis ir reguliuojantis. Šiuolaikiniai Stirlingo varikliai dirba uždaru regeneraciniu ciklu, susidedančiu iš nuosekliai pasikartojančių dviejų izoterminių ir dviejų izochorinių procesų. Stirlingo variklių darbinė medžiaga – helis arba vandenilis (10 – 20 MPa slėgio) yra uždaroje ertmėje ir darbo metu nekeičiamas; jis keičia tūrį tik kaitinamas ir aušinamas. atitikmenys: angl.
